Whether to list your property for sale or for rent...

Trying to decide whether to sell or rent out a property? Why not do both? Most people don't know, but owners can put a property on the market for both sale and rent. Since the owner has the final say on a offer to purchase or on a potential tenant, owners can receive both, and weight the options of each offer to purchase and offer to rent. Especially in the "slow" winter months, this strategy provides more options to the owner, taking into consideration what their intent is for their property. Talk to a Realtor to discuss the pros and cons of putting your property on the market for both for sale and for rent!

Lexington Square Private Terraces

While most high-rises being built these days have the major design flaw of miniature "private balconies" that are 2 feet by 2 feet, some developers actually got it right. The developers of Lexington Square took full advantage of the 10th floor, only including 6 penthouses complimenting each penthouse with a 350 sq.ft. private terrace. Lexington Square, located in the Virginia Square/Ballston area of Northern Arlington takes full advantage of the views of the DC monuments and the greenery of Alexandria. If you actually want to enjoy your balcony, these private terraces will take your breath away.

1st Time Home Buyer Tax Credit Extended!

NEW HOME BUYERS---You still have time to take advantage of the tax credit! The government has extended the highly demanded tax credit to mid next year. The deadline has been pushed back to an April 30th ratified contract date, and a closing date no later than June 30th. Although this tax credit has been extended, don't wait around too long. This tax break won't be around forever. If you are thinking about buying a house...start looking.

Check out this article from the Wall Street Journal going into more detail about how this Winter's purchasing volume has been still going strong!
