New Agent Blog

Hello everyone! My name is Alexandra Earnshaw, and I just moved to the area a mere 5 days ago. I am a southern girl, originally from North Carolina. I recently graduated from the Kenan Flagler Business School at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (go tarheels!) with a major of Business Administration with specializations in Finance and Marketing. My whole life, aka the past 4 years of college, I have dreamt of moving to DC after graduation to do real estate. Today is my first day of the real world, a real 9-5 job. My unemployed friends make fun of me saying that now I have business cards I am officially an adult and have sold my soul to the working world. Although I have my real estate license, I am going to be doing marketing/whatever my boss tells me, and hopefully once I learn the area, begin selling. I successfully conquered the metro, and driving in the city is my next adventure. My roommate and I decided to live in Van Ness of northern DC because we wanted to be in the “middle” of it all without paying ridiculous rent, but as I walked around Clarendon today, I wish I investigated this area more before moving because it seems like it has a great night life, while still being incredibly clean, and safe. Maybe once my lease runs out I’ll be moving into this area.
